Babylon is Falling

Jeremiah chapters 50 and 51 speak on the destruction of Babylon, which many take to have been accomplished by the Medes and Persians some five hundred years before Jesus Christ. However, the destruction described in Jeremiah is more severe that what happened at that time, and compares well to the destruction of Babylon in Revelation chapter 18.
